“Indiepop or Whatever” our new 7” EP is released today at Shelflife Records!!

We are glad to present the video for the first single “Song for Carrie Mathison”. The videoclip is an animation work made by El Laboratorio de Band à Part and it is a humble tribute to the TV show “Homeland”. The story is focused on CIA Agent Carrie Mathison, foolproof spy that will use all the resources she has to try to discover the secret identity of the mysterious special guest that will sing in the next gig of When Nalda Became Punk.

Estamos encantados de presentar el video del primer single “Song for Carrie Mathison”. El videoclip es un trabajo de animación realizado por El Laboratorio de Band à Part que rinde homenaje a la serie de televisión Homeland. La historia se centra en la agente de la CIA Carrie Mathison, infalible espía que utiliza todos los medios a su alcance para tratar de desvelar la identidad del misterio invitado especial que cantará con When Nalda Became Punk en su próximo concierto.

MADRID POPFEST 2014!

Como quizá ya sabéis, hemos compuesto la sintonía oficial para el Madrid Popfest 2014!! La podéis escuchar en su bandcamp. Además nos han invitado para tocar el sábado 8 de marzo. Será un concierto muy corto pero en el que contaremos con invitados sorpresa, que no vamos a adelantar, pero que harán que sea una ocasión irrepetible de escuchar esta sintonía y nuestras nuevas canciones. Siempre hemos tenido una relación especial con este festival, así que para nosotros es todo un orgullo formar parte de esta edición. Muchas gracias a la organización por su interés y a Cris R. S. We've made the official theme song for Madrid Popfest 2014!! You can listen to it in their bandcamp. They've also invited us to play there on Saturday the 8th of March. It will be a very short show but we will be joined by very special guests that would make this an amazing chance of having a first listen to that theme song and our new songs. We've always had an incredible relationship with this festival so it is a big honour for us to be part of this edition. Thanks to the organisers for their interest in us and to Cris R.S. SONG FOR CARRIE MATHISON

We are very pleased to announce that our new "Indiepop or whatever!" EP will be released on the 4th of March at Shelflife Records as a 7" vynil limited to 300 copies and digital EP. It was recorded and produced in Vigo (Spain) by Bruno Murmura and includes four new songs. You can find all the details and tracklist here. Soon it will avalaible to buy from Shelflife Records and from our shop.

"Song for Carrie Mathison", the first single from the EP, is a pure-pop song filled with energetic jangly guitars and bittersweet synths and is dedicated to Homeland's Carrie Mathison, one of Elena's and Antonio's favorite TV shows. You can listen to it here:

HAPPY CHRISTMAS! / FELIZ NAVIDAD!

This has been a really special year for WNBP. Our first album "A farewell to youth" was released on February, we played quite a few shows and we even got the chance to play at Indietracks 2013 and live the most amazing experience in that indiepop paradise in the middle of England... Also, a new member joined the band(Antonio). We even had time to record four new songs for our forthcoming EP "Indiepop or whatever!" that would be released early next year and we participated in other projects that must remain secret at the moment, but that made us really happy. The support and the strength to do all of this come from all of you, from all the people who follow us, who listen to our songs, who come to our gigs, who buy our records, who leave us comments about our music, who talk about us in their websites, blogs, radio shows, etc, and some even include us in their best of the year lists! There is no doubt that the best thing about being in a band is to get to know all of you, in some way or another. That's the reason why want to wish you all a HAPPY CHRISTMAS and a happy new year with this Christmas song that we released a couple of years ago. Thank you very much for being there.

Este ha sido un año muy especial para WNBP. En febrero se publicó nuestro primer disco "A farewell to youth", hicimos bastantes conciertos y hasta tuvimos la ocasión de tocar en el Indietracks y de vivir la experiencia más maravillosa en ese paraíso del indie perdido en el medio Inglaterra... Además incorporamos a un nuevo miembro a la banda (Antonio) y aún nos dio tiempo de grabar cuatro nuevas canciones para nuestro próximo EP, que saldrá a principios de año y participar en otros proyectos de los que aún no podemos hablar, pero que nos hacen muchísima ilusión. Los ánimos y las ganas para hacer todo esto los recibimos de todos vosotros, de la gente que nos apoya, que escucha nuestras canciones, viene a nuestros conciertos, compra nuestros discos, nos deja comentarios sobre nuestra música, se interesa y habla de nosotros en sus webs, blogs, programas de radio, etc, e incluso algunos hasta nos incluyen en sus listas de lo mejor del año! Sin duda lo mejor de tener un grupo es poder conoceros a todos vosotros de una forma u otra. Por todo ello, os queremos dar las gracias y desear una FELIZ NAVIDAD y un próspero año nuevo con esta canción navideña que sacamos hace un par de años. Muchas gracias por estar ahí.

MUSICAUCIADOS

El próximo miércoles 10 de julio, tenemos un concierto especial en Vigo, en la Fábrica de Chocolate, junto con Apenino, Wild Balbina y Pálida, dentro de los conciertos organizados por Musicauciados, una iniciativa solidaria que organiza conciertos de música con el fin de ayudar a las víctimas de los desahucios y otras personas afectadas por la precaria situación económica actual. On Wednesday, 10th of July, we've got a special show in Vigo, at La Fábrica de Chololate, with Apenino, Wild Balbina and Palida, organised by Musicauciados, a solidary iniciative that organises music sogs to help the people affected by house evictions and the economic crisis. DEBUT ALBUM: A FAREWELL TO YOUTH OUT NOW!!!!

Hoy, 5 de febrero de 2013 se publica oficialmente "A farewell to youth", nuestro album de debut en el sello norteamericano Shelflife Records. Si queréis escuchar el disco podéis hacerlo en Spotify o en nuestro bandcamp. Además, el CD está ya disponible en nuestra tienda, dónde también se puede comprar nuestro primer single en 7", camisetas y chapas, en nuestro bandcamp o en la tienda de Shelflife Records.

Today, 5th February 2013 is the official release date of "A farewell to youth", our debut album at Shelflife Records. If you want, you can listen the whole album on Spotify or on our bandcamp. The CD is available on our online shop, where you can also find our first 7" single, t-shirts and badges, our bandcamp or on Shelflife Records' shop .

CONCIERTO ACÚSTICO VIGO 19 DE ENERO

El próximo sábado 19 de enero daremos un concierto acústico dentro de la fiesta Croaction organizada por Croa Magazine. La fiesta empezará a las 6 de la tarde, en la cafetería Detrás do Marco (Vigo), con entrada libre, para todas las edades, y nuestra actuación empezará a las 8. Además habrá diferentes actividades para los asistentes, como la realización de una obra colectiva. Esperamos veros allí.

On Saturday the 19th we will be playing an acoustic show at the Croaction party by Croa Magazine. The party will start at 6 p.m. at Detrás do Marco (Vigo) with free entry for all ages. Our show will start at 8 p.m. Besides there will be different activities such as the creation of a colective work of art. We hope to see you there.

A FAREWELL TO YOUTH

Estamos muy contentos de poder anunciar que nuestro disco saldrá a principios de 2013 en el sello norteamericano Shelflife Records. El disco, titulado "A farewell to youth", fue grabado a principios de este año con Eva Guilala e Iván Juniper de Linda Guilala en su Estudio Kaiju en Vigo y mezclado por Ian Catt en Londres. Además Iván se encargó de las programaciones de las bases. Pronto os iremos dando más detalles y algún avance.

We're glad to announce that our debut album will be released on Shelflife Records in early 2013. The album, titled "A farewell to youth", was recorded at the beginning of this year with Eva Guilala and Iván Juniper at their Estudio Kaiju in Vigo and mixed by Ian Catt in London. Besides Iván also programed the drums. More details coming soon.

CONCIERTO ACÚSTICO EN EL CORTE INGLÉS

Ayer dimos nuestro primer concierto acústico (un formato que nos pareció bastante cómodo) en El Corte Inglés de Vigo. Fue bastante divertido tocar ante un público de lo más variopinto pero muy familiar. Esperemos poder repetir la experiencia pronto.

Yesterday we played our first acoustic gig at the department store El Corte Inglés in Vigo. It was quite funny playing in front of such a different  but familiar audience. We hope we can play more shows like this soon.

Aquí tenéis un video de Before 5 en nuestro concierto en el Madrid Popfest 2012, fue una experiencia inolvidable en donde conocimos a un montón de gente maja. Además fue un concierto especial porque nos acompañó tocando el bajo nuestro amigo Bruno Murmura del grupo Milknaut.

Here´s a video of Before 5 at Madrid Popfest 2012, it was an unforgetable experience where we met a lot of great people. Besides it was a very special show because our good friend Bruno Murmura from the band Milknaut, played bass with us.
